Archery at LSA

Our first annual Raised At Full Draw is in the books and it was a blast! This was the first time we ever had an event like this and I have to say it was a great experience! As always, the army of LSA volunteers showed up in force, not only during the event but for weeks ahead of time in preparation. We had over 20 volunteers, including a few that weren’t members and Eric Rauber, Ed Baldauf, Lucy Taszarek, Vince Mariana, Jenny Hise and Joe Mele who weren’t available for the photo. 

We had 20 kids for the camp between the ages of 11 and 17. I can honestly say from personal experience that we had a very positive influence on the kids, not only as volunteers but the club as a whole. We have received a lot of positive feedback from the kids and the parents and we also received a lot of interest in our club from the parents!

Keep in mind that of the 20 kids, 18 or 19 were not members. 15 of the 20 did not have their own equipment, they were provided equipment to use for the 3 days by RAFD and 7 or 8 of them had never shot a bow before. Donise (RAFD) shows up with a big enclosed trailer full of everything the kids need to try out this sport!

None of this would ever have been possible if it wasn’t for the contributions and donations from the companies below as well as a few individuals who would like to stay anonymous.

We will encourage our camp families to support Library Sportsmen's Association throughout the year.
